Rooted provides services and resources to help women and children who are in need or experiencing a crisis.
All of our services/resources are free.

The services at Rooted are designed to be used as short-term assistance opportunities to help alleviate financial hardships, eliminate an emergency or crisis, and/or to assist during an emergency or crisis. Families must be able to demonstrate need for services/resources at Rooted (Personal Care Pantry, Clothing Ministry, Emergency Financial Assistance Program). Rooted clients will need to provide information on all resources or benefits that the individual and/or family are currently receiving or have received within the last 60 days—for example SNAP, TANF, unemployment, SSDI, Rental and/or utility assistance and what organization provided assistance, etc.
Personal Care Pantry
Rooted's personal care pantry provides free personal care items for women, children, and families who are in need or crisis located in the Ark City/Winfield areas and surrounding communities. Personal care items provided are items other than food that are considered critical to the health and well-being of individuals and families.
Families and individuals are limited to visiting both the personal care pantry and the clothing ministry once a month. Thank you for your understanding as we try to serve all those who are in need within our community and surrounding communities.
No paperwork is required to receive assistance.
To protect yourself and others at this time we ask that you please wear a mask or face covering to enter the ministry.
Items available from the Personal Care Pantry include:
Hand Sanitizer (small bottles)
Feminine Hygiene Products
New undergarments for women and children (all sizes needed)
Diapers and wipes
Comb and hair brushes

We provide free clothing, shoes, and bedding to women, children, and families who are in need or in crisis.
Families and individuals are limited to visiting the personal care pantry and clothing ministry once a month. We appreciate you understanding as we work to serve all those who are in need within our community and surrounding communities.
Limit to 1 or 2 bags of clothing per visit per month depending on family size.
The clothing ministry is not open on Holidays.

Emergency Financial Assistance Program (EFA)
Small (generally under $100), short-term emergency financial assistance is available through Rooted for women and/or families who find themselves in crisis situations. This program is intended only for women and/or families who are struggling or experiencing hardships. Through this program women and/or families are provided with immediate financial relief for their current crisis. Financial assistance is given to women and/or families who are able to successfully demonstrate a need. Emergency financial request will be considered based upon each individual/family situation and the funds available.
We are also able at times to help families obtain gently used furniture and appliances through community donations.
