Personal Care Pantry

Rooted's personal care pantry provides free personal care items for women and children located in the Ark City area who have a need or are in crisis. Personal care items provided are items other than food that are considered critical to the health and well-being of individuals and families. No paperwork is required to receive assistance. To protect yourself and others we ask that you please wear a mask or face covering to enter the pantry.

Items available from the Personal Care Pantry include:

  • Deodorant

  • Toothbrushes

  • Toothpaste

  • Disposable Razors

  • Shampoo

  • Conditioner

  • Body lotion

  • Lip balm/Chapstick

  • Hand Soap

  • Hand Sanitizer (small bottles)

  • Masks

  • Feminine Hygiene Products

  • Toilet paper

  • New undergarments for women and children (all sizes needed)

  • Diapers and wipes

  • Laundry Soap

  • Dish soap

  • Band-aids

  • Comb and hair brushes

Rooted relies on donations from the community to stock the Personal Care Pantry. If you are interested in donating to the pantry, donations can be dropped off at Rooted, 301 N 6th Street in Ark City. If we are closed, donations can be left on the front porch, all donations will be placed inside daily. Please see the above list for items that are needed. Thank you for your support!

Clothing Ministry

Rooted Women's Ministry and Central Christian Church team up to open clothing ministry!

Working together to better support those within our community!

The Clothing Ministry is ran by Rooted Women's Ministry but is located at Central Christian Church in Arkansas City, KS 206 W Central Ave. 

Free clothing items are available to women, men and children in need. 

All clothing is washed and cleaned. 

One sack of clothing per person per visit. 

The clothing ministry is open twice a month on the 2nd and 4th Thursdays of the month. 

The clothing ministry is not open on Holidays.

Emergency Financial Assistance Program (EFA)

Small (generally under $100), short-term emergency financial assistance is available through Rooted for women and/or families who find themselves in crisis situations. This program is intended only for women and/or families who are struggling or experiencing hardships.Through this program women and/or families are provided with immediate financial relief for their current crisis. Financial assistance is given to women and/or families who are able to successfully demonstrate a need. Emergency financial request will be considered based upon each individual/family situation and the funds available.

Blessed Fellowship Discipleship Program

Blessed Fellowship is a faith-based relational discipleship program for women by women. Through this program women can receive support, resources, and advocacy for their individual and/or family circumstances.  


What Blessed Fellowship can do for you (and your family):

  • Help you locate the services and resources you need to help you and your family.

  • Help you create your own long-term and short-term goals.

  • Help you to create a plan to achieve your goals.

  • Encourage, support and advocate for you.

  • Bible Study and discipleship (both one-on-one and in community with other women).

Our prayer is to cultivate a community of women who support and empower one another to live out their God-given purpose, while being deeply rooted in Christ.
